My New years resolution essay

New Year’s resolution essay-Chanel
Resolutions are like promises you make to yourself to keep. You can have as many resolutions you want. I have made a few resolutions this year for myself. These are the resolutions I have made for myself this year.
One was to not fight with my sister. When I made that one I thought “that won’t be too hard to keep. “But trying not to fight with your sister who won’t leave you alone is really hard because she only wants to see if you will do something so that she can get you in trouble. I made another one to not eat junk food. But let’s face it, how many teenagers has anyone met that can give up junk food easy. Not very many are able to do that because us teenagers are always have either a Dr.Pepper or some sort of Junk food in our hands or stashed in our bedrooms. I also made a resolution to eat healthier because you can’t eat junk food all of the time and not eat anything healthy. I made another one which was to save money because I am always spending it every time and I am saving towards getting my own computer and cellphone minutes. Another one I made was to not watch television so much and that is basically wishing when you make a resolution like that because watching t.v is what kids do the most.
I also resolved to walk my dog more than I usually do. I will be able to keep that one because it is an easy one to keep and my dog has been running over to the porch and grabbing his leash with his teeth and dragging it over to someone to show that he wants to be taken for a walk. . I have also made one to ride the bus. But riding the bus is not exactly all that easy because I find when I walk to school I get there a lot faster than I would if I was riding the bus and it is also easier. Another one I made was to remember to turn the lights off before I leave a room unless someone else is in there. I am always leaving my bedroom light on and my older sister continuously tells me “turn off your lights.” Also I resolved to hang out with my friends a lot more. An easy resolution because I have all of their phone numbers and I can call them to see if they want to hangout. I’ve resolved to keep my room clean which at first seems not all that hard to do. But if you are somebody who rushes around in the morning to get ready for school, a once clean room transforms into a danger zone real quick. Clothes, shoes, backpacks, papers, and it’s being tossed around my room every single day. I have made another one which is to keep my desk and locker clean at school because stuff just gets thrown in there and keeping a desk and locker clean is simple because you just take everything out of your desk, throw the garbage into the trashcan and put the school supplies back into the desk. As for the locker all you have to do is put your shoes at the bottom of the locker, hang your sweater and backpack on the hooks and your locker is cleaned. I have resolved to try and get good grades in school because I want to pass grade eight not be in it for another year because really who wants to be in the same class twice. I made another one which was to remember to bring my homework home because I am always forgetting it at school or if I do bring it home, I forget to bring it back to school. One is to hand in homework/assignments because I am always finishing an assignment but I keep forgetting to hand it in so that I can get a mark for it. I have made a resolution to try and not use the computer so much. But a computer is one of the main things teenagers use a lot. So trying to use the computer up until a certain time limit is not too easy because after you have used it for whatever you needed to use it for, you will want to stay on the computer longer than you were supposed to and log on to Facebook, Hotmail or YouTube. Another resolution I made was to recycle more because recycle is better for the planet than throwing stuff away into the garbage. And my very last resolution that I mad for myself is I to keep my cellphone with me everywhere I go, because a cellphone is a teen’s prized possession and to have a cellphone go missing is kind of like an “it’s the end of the world” type scenario for a teenager. And those are all of the resolutions I have made this year for myself. I hope I can keep all of them.
